Celtic target multiple Blackburn Rovers players for January window

Celtic are reportedly exploring several transfer options ahead of the January window, with a focus on strengthening their squad depth and addressing specific positional needs.

The Scottish club has shown renewed interest in Blackburn Rovers players Ryoya Morishita and Balázs Tóth. Morishita, a 29-year-old Japanese international attacker, remains on Celtic's radar following interest during the summer. Meanwhile, interest in Hungarian goalkeeper Balázs Tóth has resurfaced; reports suggest Tóth has not accepted new contract offers at Blackburn, which could force the Championship club to consider a sale in the winter to avoid losing him for free.

In addition to attacking and goalkeeping reinforcements, Celtic are assessing the centre-back market to provide depth following recent injuries and absences involving Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty. While Viking defender Henrik Heggheim has been linked to the club, current reports indicate he is not a primary target at this stage. The club's main priority for the window remains securing a defensive midfielder.
