Celtic FC prepares for Europa League clash against Benfica

Celtic FC is preparing to face SL Benfica in a UEFA Europa League fixture at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon. The match follows a period of mixed results for both clubs. Benfica enters the contest with momentum, having secured four wins in their last five matches, including a 2-0 victory against AC Milan in their opening Europa League fixture.

Celtic seeks to rebound from a difficult European campaign that included a loss to Ferencvaros. The team arrives in Portugal following a 2-0 victory over Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership. Defender Liam Scales noted that the club is looking to the inspiration of their previous away victory against Feyenoord to guide their performance in this challenging fixture.

Tickets for the match remain available for sale at Benfica’s home stadium. Key players to watch include Benfica’s Vangelis Pavlidis and Celtic’s Benjamin Nygren.
