Cem Küçük Dismissed from TGRT Haber and Türkiye Gazette

TGRT Haber and the Türkiye newspaper terminated the employment of commentator Cem Küçük. The outlet cited his recent remarks about the “Butlan CHP” issue as a reason for the split.

Küçük issued a public statement denying the allegations, thanking the TV and newspaper staff, and reaffirming his confidence in President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the “great and strong Turkey” ideal. He said he has been in the media since 2012 and that recent events have offered no new experiences.

The dismissal reflects ongoing tensions between Turkey’s pro‑government media and critics of the ruling party.
