Cement retail prices in Pakistan see slight decrease

According to recent data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the average retail price of cement in Pakistan saw a slight decrease during the week ending August 27.

In northern regions and cities, the average price per bag was 1,555 PKR, representing a 0.63% decrease from the previous week's price of 1,565 PKR. Southern regions also experienced a minor decline, with the average price per bag dropping 0.53% from 1,547 PKR to 1,539 PKR.

Regional price variations were noted across the country. In the north and central areas, prices in Islamabad were 1,532 PKR, Rawalpindi 1,535 PKR, Gujranwala 1,600 PKR, Sialkot 1,500 PKR, Lahore 1,590 PKR, Faisalabad 1,550 PKR, Sargodha 1,582 PKR, Multan 1,591 PKR, Bahawalpur 1,560 PKR, Peshawar 1,573 PKR, and Bannu 1,490 PKR. In southern cities, Karachi recorded an average of 1,470 PKR, Hyderabad 1,519 PKR, Sukkur 1,600 PKR, Larkana 1,523 PKR, Quetta 1,520 PKR, and Khuzdar 1,600 PKR.
