Cemig launches social and cultural project calls in Minas Gerais
Cemig has opened new public calls for social and cultural projects in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The company is seeking proposals for the Carnaval da Liberdade 2027 program, which focuses on artistic and cultural attractions such as carnival blocks, samba schools, and city carnivals. These projects must be free, accessible, and located within Cemig's concession area, with an emphasis on local professionals and urban spaces.
Additionally, Cemig is accepting applications for social initiatives targeting sports, child and adolescent protection, and elderly care. These social projects must be approved by relevant municipal, state, or national councils or be eligible for federal and state sports incentive laws.
Applications are free and can be submitted through the company's website. For the cultural program, the deadline is December 2, 2026. For social projects, the continuous selection process allows for applications until July 16, 2027, with the first round of funding scheduled for late 2026.
