Cemig to supply renewable energy to 160 Brazilian Army units

Cemig has won bidding processes conducted by the Brazilian Army in the Free Energy Market to supply clean, renewable, and traceable energy to 160 consumer units. These units are distributed across ten Brazilian states, including Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Pará, Pernambuco, Rondônia, Goiás, Distrito Federal, and Amazonas.

The contract includes comprehensive energy management services, such as representing consumers before the Electric Energy Trading Chamber (CCEE), supporting migration to the Free Market, executing technical adaptation works, and specialized contract management.

Sérgio Lopes, Cemig’s Vice President of Commercialization, stated that serving an institution of the Brazilian Army's scale reinforces the company's credibility in the Free Energy Market by offering economic competitiveness, operational security, and certified renewable energy.
