Cemil Kanat wins European Kuraş Championship

Cemil Kanat, a 15-year-old athlete from Hakkari, has become the European Kuraş champion in the 46 kg category. Competing in his first international organization held in Bulgaria from September 11-14, Kanat secured the gold medal.

Kanat, an 11th-grade student, has been training in judo and kuraş for six years. His journey began after being inspired by his brother's training sessions. Before his European success, he secured first place at the Youth Turkey Kuraş Championship in Zonguldak in June.

Under the guidance of coach Kübra Bayram, Kanat is now focusing his training on qualifying for and winning the upcoming World Championships.
