CENADE reports 15,000 medical services in Paraguay and seeks local support
CENADE has recorded 15,000 medical services so far in 2026, providing care to patients from Encarnación and other regions of Paraguay. Mirtha Wasmuth, a representative of the institution, noted that the figure represents total services rendered rather than unique patients, as individuals often access multiple services during a single visit to optimize travel costs.
The center provides specialized care for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including neurology, psychology, and multisensory therapy. While the institution recently received a disbursement of G. 90,503,613 for the period through September, Wasmuth highlighted the need for further funding to cover the remainder of the year and noted that previous funding gaps hindered planning.
Wasmuth called for increased community support and local backing for the center's services, suggesting that many people support large-scale campaigns like Teletón without fully understanding the specific local services provided by CENADE.
