CENIDIAP to host First Ibero-American Museum Audience Studies Encounter
The National Center for Research, Documentation, and Information of Plastic Arts (CENIDIAP), in collaboration with the Mexican Secretariat of Culture and the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL), will host the First Ibero-American Encounter of Museum Audience Studies and Other Expository Contexts.
Scheduled for September 11, 18, and 25, 2026, the event will focus on citizenship, conflict, and participation within exhibition spaces. The initiative aims to transform audience knowledge into improved policies for access and inclusion to create more democratic museum environments. The program is organized alongside the National School of Conservation, Restoration, and Museography (ENCRYM) and the Ibero-American Forum of Audience Studies (FEP), bringing together specialists and professionals from countries including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, and Mexico.
