Cenit ex-employee alleges orders to delete contracts linked to former First Lady's relative

Kevin Jair Beltrán Rojas, a former employee of Cenit, a subsidiary of Ecopetrol, has alleged that he was pressured to delete records and communications regarding contracts awarded to Antropos Consultores S.A.S.

Beltrán claims that during a meeting on January 15, 2026, with Pilar Marulanda Sánchez, Cenit's Vice President of Human Talent, he was instructed to erase evidence of contracts involving a firm linked to Alberto Merlano Alcocer. Merlano Alcocer is identified as a relative of former First Lady Verónica Alcocer. According to Beltrán, his refusal to comply with these instructions led to an internal transfer and his eventual dismissal in August 2026.

Cenit has denied the allegations, stating that no executives ordered the deletion of contractual information and asserting that the complainant did not have access to the company's contract management. Antropos Consultores S.A.S. is a Bogotá-based firm specializing in archaeological and environmental consultancy, where Alberto Merlano Alcocer serves as an alternate legal representative.
