Centenarians celebrate milestone birthdays in Poland

Two women in Poland recently celebrated significant milestone birthdays.

In Zapole, resident of the Niwiska commune Stefania Mazan celebrated her 101st birthday on August 27, 2026. Local government officials, including Niwiska Mayor Elżbieta Wróbel, deputy mayor Jolanta Marut, and Zapole village head Łukasz Ofiara, visited her to offer congratulations and well wishes.

In Krasnystaw, Stanisława Bąk celebrated her 100th birthday on August 27. A former cook at the Agricultural School Complex in Krasnystaw, she was honored at a celebration attended by family and local officials, including Krasnystaw Mayor Daniel Miciuła and Krasnystaw Starosta Janusz Szpak. Ms. Bąk received a congratulatory letter from Prime Minister Donald Tusk and was granted an honorary benefit from the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS).
