Center for Civic Education requests audits of eight Montenegrin institutions

The Center for Civic Education (CGO) has submitted eight audit initiatives to the State Audit Institution (DRI) in Montenegro. The request targets specific institutions and sectors where the CGO identifies risks such as large volumes of public funds, previously documented irregularities, or insufficient transparency.

The targeted entities include the Public Service of Montenegro (RTCG), the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts (CANU), the University of Montenegro (UCG), the Ministry of Defense, the Parliament of Montenegro, the Police Administration, the Judo Federation of Montenegro, and the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

CGO emphasized that independent audits are essential for correcting bad practices, addressing systemic weaknesses, and ensuring that public funds are managed legally and transparently. The organization expects the DRI to consider these initiatives when developing its next audit plan.
