Centerpartiet calls for improved access to women's healthcare
Representatives from the Center Party, Malin Fridmar and Cecilia Andersson, are advocating for improved access to women's healthcare in Sweden. They highlight that in the Västra Götaland region alone, approximately 9,000 women are currently waiting for care within women's healthcare services.
The party proposes increasing knowledge regarding menopause and implementing mobile and digital healthcare solutions to reach women living outside major cities. To address capacity issues and long queues, Centerpartiet supports introducing a healthcare choice (vårdval) within gynecology, which would allow more private and specialized providers to contribute to the publicly funded system.
