Centiel acquires production facility in Ticino to fuel growth

Centiel, a specialist in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, has announced the acquisition of a production facility in Muzzano, Ticino, for 12.1 million Swiss francs. The company plans to invest several million additional francs to adapt the 7,300-square-meter site for production, offices, and logistics. Production at the new location is expected to begin in the first half of 2027.

The expansion is part of Centiel’s strategy to meet growing demand, particularly within the data center and AI sectors. To support international growth, the company has partnered with Neo Critical Power to expand its presence in the United States. Centiel has projected revenues of approximately 65 million Swiss francs for 2026, with a target of at least 100 million Swiss francs in 2027.

On the stock market, Centiel's shares experienced a decline of 1.4 percent on a Monday afternoon, trading at 5.74 CHF. Despite the recent dip, the company has seen significant growth earlier in the year, driven by new orders in the US market.
