Central American youth football teams begin international tournament preparations
Central American youth national teams are entering critical preparation phases for upcoming international competitions.
The El Salvador Women's U-16 National Team, led by coach Debbie Gómez, has begun a training microcycle to prepare for the UNCAF FIFA Forward Tournament, scheduled to take place in Honduras from December 8 to 14. The squad, consisting of 21 players, is undergoing a six-week development plan. The coaching staff intends to integrate players from abroad and those identified during recent scouting sessions in the United States to strengthen the roster for regional competition and future U-17 World Cup prospects.
Meanwhile, the Panama Men's U-17 National Team is one month away from its debut in the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar. Under coach Felipe Baloy, the team has commenced its eleventh training microcycle. Panama is scheduled to play its opening match against Qatar on November 19, followed by fixtures against Greece on November 22 and Egypt on November 25.
