Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina and 365. banka report profit growth

The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina reported a net profit of 228.6 million KM for the period of January to June 2026, an increase from the 159.8 million KM recorded during the same period the previous year. This growth occurred despite international financial market uncertainty driven by US trade policies and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East involving Iran, Israel, and the US.

The bank's earnings were primarily driven by interest income from foreign exchange reserve components, specifically from debt instrument portfolios and deposits with foreign banks. As of June 30, 2026, the bank's net foreign assets stood at 1,614,845 thousand KM, with total capital reaching 1,700,160 thousand KM.

Separately, Slovakia's 365. banka reported a 29 percent increase in net profit for the first half of 2026, reaching 27.1 million euros compared to 21.1 million euros in the previous year. The growth was largely attributed to a rise in net interest income, which grew to 67.1 million euros from 59.6 million euros. The bank also saw growth in household loans and deposits, with total loans reaching approximately 3.3 billion euros.
