Central Bank of Iraq denies rumors of dinar devaluation

The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) has officially refuted rumors regarding a planned devaluation of the Iraqi dinar. Media Director Haider Ghazi dismissed social media claims suggesting the official exchange rate would be adjusted to 1,460 IQD per US dollar, labeling such reports as unfounded attempts to destabilize financial markets.

The CBI confirmed that the official selling rate remains unchanged at 1,310 IQD per USD for commercial operations and transfers. The bank urged the public and media outlets to rely exclusively on official channels for monetary policy updates to avoid market anxiety.
