Central Bank of Libya reports $934 million in oil revenues

The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) announced that total oil revenues received in its accounts reached $934 million as of October 18. This follows a sharp increase from $361 million reported on October 14 and $577 million on October 15.

The CBL clarified that these figures represent cumulative totals of funds actually credited to its accounts and do not reflect the total value of oil exports or outstanding invoices. The bank noted that the reported amounts exclude revenues collected by other entities that have not yet been transferred to the CBL.

This update follows a dispute between the CBL and the National Oil Corporation (NOC) regarding revenue volumes and accounting methods. While the NOC previously claimed transfers reached $1.448 billion between October 1 and 14, the CBL’s figures focus strictly on confirmed deposits. The NOC attributed discrepancies to financial mechanisms involving fuel import cost settlements.
