Bank Respublika completes strategic acquisition of AccessBank

Bank Respublika has announced the successful completion of a strategic deal to acquire 100% of the shares of AccessBank. As a result of the transaction, AccessBank’s former shareholders have become shareholders of Bank Respublika by receiving newly issued preferred shares.

The merger aims to create one of Azerbaijan’s largest banks by combining the financial potential and business models of both institutions. While the legal and operational integration proceeds, both banks will continue to operate under their existing brands to ensure uninterrupted service for customers and partners.

Tariyel Ismayilov will lead the Board of Directors of AccessBank and is slated to become the Chairman of the Board for the merged entity. Aslan Abasova, currently Deputy Chairman of the Board of Bank Respublika, has been appointed to the temporary duties of Chairman of the Board of Bank Respublika.
