Central Bohemian Region finances senior home and buys school building

The Central Bohemian (Středočeský) region approved a multi‑hundred‑million‑crown project to build a new senior home in Kralupy nad Vltavou. The facility will replace the former chemical school site in Lobeček, provide 117 beds and cost about 640 million CZK. The city will construct the building and lease it to the region for 20 years, after which ownership will transfer to the region at no charge.

Separately, regional authorities authorized the purchase of the premises of the Střední škola pedagogiky, cestovního ruchu a gastronomie in Příbram for 54.2 million CZK. The school serves roughly 590 students, and the acquisition is intended to secure the building for future development and easier financing of repairs and investments.
