Central Bureau of Communication holds outreach programme at Tripura University

The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), under India’s Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, organized a two-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) at Tripura University on August 24, 2026.

The programme focused on three primary themes: the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (drug-free India campaign), the upcoming Census 2027, and 12 years of trust, development, and public welfare. The event included an exhibition and an open quiz competition to engage students with these topics.

University officials, including Registrar Prof. Samir Kumar Sil, emphasized the importance of maintaining a drug-free campus and urged students to maintain zero tolerance toward substance abuse. Other dignitaries, such as Subhash Dutta, ADM & Collector (PP) of Sepahijala, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the societal importance of the awareness initiatives.
