Central Chile braces for light rain, snow and thunderstorms
A weather front is expected to affect central Chile, bringing scattered showers to the coastal regions from Valparaíso to the northern part of the Maule Region and modest precipitation inland from Los Andes to Talca and Linares. Rainfall is forecast at 10–20 mm along the coast and 5–10 mm inland, with isolated snow in the Andes.
Santiago will see a brief, low‑intensity event from the late afternoon into the early morning, with temperatures staying below 12 °C on Saturday and a brief dip to 2 °C early Sunday before warming to the low 20s later in the week. An associated electrical storm is also likely due to convective cloud development.
