Central Delhi Kings win DPL 2026 opener, Keshav Dubas fined

In the opening match of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Central Delhi Kings defeated Old Delhi‑6 by six wickets, chasing a target of 203 runs in 19.1 overs. Captain Yash Dhull anchored the chase with 72 runs off 45 balls, while Keshav Dubas contributed a quick 17‑run cameo. The Kings secured victory when Jasveer Sahrawat hit the winning shot with five balls remaining.

During the game, Keshav Dubas was penalised for breaching the league’s code of conduct after signalling a batsman’s exit. The league imposed a 10 % deduction from his match fee and added a demerit point. The league’s statement noted that Dubas accepted the sanction. The match also featured an opening ceremony with singers Sukhabir Singh and Sunanda Sharma.
