Central District Municipality sets August 31 property tax deadline

The Municipal Mayor's Office of the Central District (AMDC) has issued a reminder to property owners in Tegucigalpa and Comayagüela that the deadline to pay the Real Estate Tax (IBI) without surcharges is August 31.

To complete the payment, taxpayers must visit authorized banks and present their cadastral key number. Juan Carlos Callizo, the municipality's Manager of Collection and Financial Control, urged citizens to take advantage of these final days to avoid additional fees. The collected funds are intended for municipal works and services within the Central District.

For those with outstanding balances dating up to 2025, the AMDC offers payment arrangement options. Residents can seek guidance on establishing these agreements at the municipal offices located in the Los Castaños shopping center or in central Tegucigalpa, opposite Hospital Viera.
