Central Elections Commission sets deadline for 2026 legislative election registration

The Central Elections Commission has announced that the registration period for the 2026 legislative elections will conclude at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Registration is available both electronically via the commission's official website and in person at various centers across cities, villages, and camps in the West Bank.

The commission reported high registration rates in the West Bank and noted that thousands of citizens have recently added their names to the voter rolls, while tens of thousands have verified their existing data and polling stations.

Currently, the registration process in the West Bank does not include residents of Jerusalem or the Gaza Strip. The commission stated that residents of the Gaza Strip are guaranteed the right to participate in the elections without needing to register, and specific procedures regarding the participation of both Jerusalem residents and Gaza Strip residents will be announced at a later date.
