Central European music education initiatives expand through academies and Erasmus+ grants

The Visegrád Music Academy has successfully completed its ninth year in Modra, Slovakia. Organized by Ladislav Brüll and guitarist Miriam Rodriguez Brüllová, the academy hosted dozens of young instrumentalists from across Central Europe. The program featured specialized classes in violin, cello, double bass, and guitar, alongside a string orchestra conducted by Adam Klocek. The academy aims to foster an inspiring environment for artistic growth through intensive interaction with pedagogical and concert elites.

In a separate development for regional arts education, the Private Music and Drama Conservatory in Rimavská Sobota has been awarded a grant of approximately 27,897 EUR from the Erasmus+ program. This funding will support a project titled ‘Young Artists in the Role of Educators: Innovative Methods of Music Education in Practice.’

Under this initiative, eight students specializing in music, dance, and music-drama will travel to Kecskemét, Hungary, for professional training and masterclasses. The project is designed to overcome social and economic barriers for talented students, providing them with international perspectives and practical experience in professional concert and theater venues to improve their future career prospects.
