Central Java marks 81st anniversary with development and transport initiatives

Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi marked the province’s 81st anniversary by emphasizing regional unity and social solidarity. During the ‘Harmony of Java 2026’ celebrations and a large prayer event, Luthfi called for collective effort to drive development and expressed empathy for disaster victims in Nusa Tenggara Timur, Kalimantan, and Aceh.

In terms of infrastructure and economic development, the provincial government is accelerating a transportation transformation. This includes the introduction of electric taxis and travel services, integrated public transport, and cashless payment systems at terminals to promote clean energy and efficiency.

Additionally, Governor Luthfi and regional leaders met with the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority to discuss investment opportunities and collaboration. IKN Authority Head Basuki Hadimuljono indicated that Central Java could benefit from fiscal incentives if it becomes a strategic partner in the development of the new capital.
