Indonesia investment reaches Rp1,010.6 trillion in H1 2026
Indonesia's investment realization reached Rp1,010.6 trillion during the first semester of 2026, marking a 7.2 percent increase compared to the same period the previous year.
Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani reported that these investments directly absorbed approximately 1.45 million workers, a 15 percent rise year-on-year. This figure does not include indirect employment generated by supporting activities.
The investment composition was split nearly evenly between foreign direct investment (PMA) at Rp507.6 trillion and domestic investment (PMDN) at Rp503 trillion. Geographically, investment distribution was relatively balanced, with 50.2 percent of total national investment occurring outside of Java. Key regions outside Java included Central Sulawesi, North Maluku, Riau Islands, East Kalimantan, and Riau.
