Central Java launches Revola program to revitalize dormant land
The Central Java Provincial Government has launched the ‘Revola Jateng Optimis’ land revolution program to revitalize unproductive land. Governor Ahmad Luthfi officially inaugurated a 10-hectare pilot site in Susukan Village, Wanayasa District, Banjarnegara, on August 10, 2026. The site, which had been uncultivated for 12 years, is being transformed using an integrated smart farming concept.
The program integrates various agricultural activities, including coffee and avocado cultivation for erosion control, horticulture, rice farming, fisheries, and livestock such as poultry and goats. To modernize operations, the initiative involves millennial farmers who utilize smart farming technologies, including drones and soil sensors.
Governor Luthfi expressed his intention to expand this program to all 35 regencies and cities across Central Java to bolster food security and self-sufficiency. Local officials noted that the program aims to alleviate poverty by providing economic opportunities and improving community nutrition through local produce.
