Central Java maintains Paskibraka quota despite budget cuts

The Central Java Provincial Government has decided to maintain the quota of 45 members for the Paskibraka (National Flag Hoisting Troop) for the 81st Indonesian Independence Day celebrations, despite significant budget cuts for 2026.

The budget has been reduced from over Rp1 billion to approximately Rp500 million–Rp600 million. This efficiency has necessitated changes to training logistics, including a shorter centralized training period and the removal of hotel accommodations. Instead, participants will be housed at the BPSDMD Jateng dormitory. Harso Susilo, Head of the Central Java National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol), stated that while facilities have changed, the committee remains committed to ensuring basic needs such as food, health, and rest are met.
