Central Java Police identify 88 children with clubfoot for medical program

The Central Java Regional Police have identified 88 children suffering from Congenital Talipes Equinovarus (CTEV), a congenital foot deformity, across various regions in Central Java. This data was collected through local community police officers and medical health sections to ensure early medical intervention.

Under the ‘Polda Jateng Peduli CTEV’ program, launched in August 2026 in collaboration with Mentari Clubfoot MPKU PP Muhammadiyah, the initiative aims to provide accessible treatment to prevent long-term mobility issues. Currently, seven children from Salatiga, Surakarta, Kendal, Demak, and Semarang are receiving medical monitoring and treatment at Bhayangkara Semarang Hospital.

Medical services include therapy controls, casting for foot correction, and brace monitoring. Central Java Regional Police Chief Irjen Pol. Ribut Hari Wibowo visited the hospital to support the patients and their families, emphasizing that early and consistent treatment is vital for successful recovery.
