Central Kalimantan distributes Starlink grants to remote villages
The Central Kalimantan provincial government is accelerating digital connectivity in remote areas by distributing thousands of Starlink satellite internet devices as grants. The initiative aims to bridge the digital divide in villages that have previously faced limited internet access.
Governor Agustiar Sabran symbolically presented the equipment during a Village Coordination Meeting (Rakordes) in Palangka Raya. The program is intended to strengthen digital infrastructure and support digital transformation by providing access to education, healthcare, government services, and economic opportunities. The governor emphasized that reliable internet will serve as a foundation for improving the quality and transparency of public services at the village level.
