Central Kalimantan DPRD pushes tighter oversight of subsidized fertilizer distribution

Commission II member Sutik of the Central Kalimantan Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) urged stricter monitoring of subsidized fertilizer distribution to ensure the aid reaches eligible farmers and to prevent misuse by corrupt actors. He highlighted a recent case of alleged abuse in Kotawaringin Timur Regency and called for joint oversight involving the provincial government, law‑enforcement agencies, farmer groups, distribution kiosks and the community to curb fertilizer‑mafia activities.
