Central Macedonia funds tourism promotion for Serres

The Central Macedonia Region is funding a comprehensive tourism promotion program for the city of Serres through the ESPA framework. Following the signing of the decision by Regional Governor Athena Aidona, the project aims to increase the city's recognition and boost visitor numbers.

The initiative includes developing a communication strategy, implementing promotional campaigns across traditional and digital media, and producing print, photographic, and audiovisual materials. Additionally, the program will manage online and social media promotion, organize promotional events, participate in domestic and international tourism exhibitions, and update the Municipality of Serres website with new content.

Governor Aidona stated that the goal is to establish a strong destination identity and highlight Serres as a multi-themed tourist destination throughout the year. The program seeks to promote year-round tourism and align Central Macedonia's tourism sector with international trends, focusing on thematic and alternative tourism.
