Central Macedonia Region funds water projects in Veria and Naoussa

The Central Macedonia Region is allocating more than 6 million euros in ESPA funds to improve and secure drinking water supplies in the municipalities of Veria and Naoussa, located in the Imathia region of Greece.

The project for the Municipality of Veria has a budget of 2.85 million euros, targeting the municipal units of Veria, Vergina, and Apostolou Pavlou. The project for the Municipality of Naoussa is budgeted at 3.35 million euros.

Regional Governor Athina Aidona stated that these European resources aim to address water adequacy and quality issues for thousands of citizens, protect water resources from network leaks, and safeguard public health. Vice Regional Governor of Imathia, Kostas Kalaitzidis, added that the upgrades will ensure uninterrupted water supply and access to safe, high-quality drinking water through modernized networks.
