Central Michigan and UNC athletics announce academic honors and season schedules

Central Michigan University gymnastics has achieved significant academic recognition, with 17 of its 19 rostered gymnasts earning 2026 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America honors. The team ranked 14th nationally with a team GPA of 3.7737. Several athletes, including Lia Kmieciak, Paige Hasling, Maeve Ruble, Maylee Wendle, and Zoe Zimmerman, maintained perfect 4.0 GPAs for the 2025-26 academic year.

In volleyball, the University of North Carolina is preparing to open its 2026 season with two in-state matches against Davidson and UNCW. The Tar Heels return a high percentage of their production from the previous season, including nearly all kills and blocks. Meanwhile, Central Michigan Volleyball has announced its 2026 home promotional schedule, which includes themed events such as National College Colors Day, Pride Day, and Hispanic Heritage night.
