Central Saint Martins to expand King’s Cross campus

Central Saint Martins is expanding its King’s Cross campus by 17,782 square feet through a new lease agreement between the University of the Arts London and The King’s Cross Group.

The expansion will see the institution occupy space on the first and second floors of the recently refurbished Western Transit Shed South. This move is intended to bring more staff and students together on a single site to foster interdisciplinary collaboration in fields such as architecture, design, materials, and visual communication.

The project also involves the adaptive reuse of the historic Western Transit Shed, contributing to the ongoing redevelopment of the King’s Cross area. The expansion reinforces the local ecosystem where educational and creative institutions operate alongside global businesses like Universal Music and Havas.
