Central Sulawesi expands rural electricity program to 287 locations

PT PLN (Persero), the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government are collaborating to expand the Village Electricity Program (Lisdes) to ensure energy equality in the region.

A coordination meeting held in Palu focused on synchronizing proposed locations for the program to ensure they meet actual field needs. As of June 2026, Central Sulawesi has achieved an electrification ratio of 99.27 percent and a village electrification ratio of 96.58 percent.

Following the successful implementation of the Lisdes program in 94 locations during 2025, the government and PLN aim to expand the network to 287 locations across various remote areas of Central Sulawesi during the 2026 fiscal year.
