CentralStar Cooperative awards scholarships to Wisconsin agricultural students

CentralStar Cooperative’s Board of Directors is awarding $1,000 scholarships to several Wisconsin students pursuing agricultural degrees. The initiative aims to support the next generation of professionals to ensure the long-term sustainability of the dairy and beef industries.

To qualify, applicants were required to be children of CentralStar member-stockowners and demonstrate active involvement in agriculture. The selection process included essay prompts regarding industry contributions, community involvement, work experience, personal achievements, and future goals.

Recipients include Mara Endres, who will study animal science and agricultural communication at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities; Zoe Van Rijn, studying animal science and agricultural communication at Oklahoma State University; Drew Butzler, studying dairy and food-animal management at the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and Grace Clark, who is completing studies in agribusiness marketing and communication at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
