Centre del Carme in Valencia stages summer night events and digital arts festival
On 18 July, the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània (CCCC) joined Valencia's Gran Nit de Juliol by extending its hours until midnight and offering a programme of family workshops, baby‑friendly activities and a live set by local DJ Fonki Cheff, who mixes rumba, flamenc, funk and other genres. The night also allowed visitors to explore recent exhibitions such as “Memòries del sòl”, “34 Il·lustres x 34 Il·lustrats” and “Verse expuest_”, which blend contemporary art with historical themes.
From 13 to 18 October, the same venue will host the international Volumens festival, a digital‑culture event that brings together art, science, technology and music. Highlights include the TarsLab immersive installation by Juanjo Ortiz and Jordi Blasco, student projects from the Universitat Politècnica de València’s Master in Visual and Multimedia Arts, and a round‑table discussion on lightweight, collaborative technologies. All activities are free of charge and will be spread across the centre and other city locations, showcasing experimental sound, audiovisual works and AI‑driven creations.
