Cultural and photography exhibitions announced in Spain and Dominican Republic
Various cultural and photographic events are scheduled across Spain and the Dominican Republic. In Almansa, Spain, the Foto Club Almansa is hosting the 2026 Photography Encounters under the theme ‘The Image of Sport’. The month-long program includes three exhibitions, conferences, and workshops, featuring collective displays such as ‘Photography and Sport’ and ‘The Half Marathon’.
In the Dominican Republic, the Centro Cultural Taíno Casa del Cordón, an initiative of Banco Popular Dominicano, is presenting an exhibition titled ‘Dominican Narratives of Natural and Cultural Landscape’. The showcase features the work of Guillo Pérez, a prominent 20th-century Dominican painter, and includes guided tours led by art critic Abil Peralta Agüero to explore the relationship between nature and national identity.
Additionally, the Centro Andaluz de la Fotografía in Almería is hosting ‘Tierra tomada’ by photographer Juan Manuel Díaz Burgos. The exhibition documents the social development and community formation in areas near Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, through a collection of 207 images. Meanwhile, the XXVIII Fuenlabrada Photography Days will take place at the CEART from September 18 to November 2, featuring black and white photography and lectures on wildlife and landscape photography.
