Centro Cultural Constitución celebrates 10 years in Zapopan
The Centro Cultural Constitución (CCC) in Zapopan, Jalisco, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Since opening in 2016 on the site of the former Mercado Bola, the center has hosted more than 2,400 events and 1,600 workshops.
Built with an investment of approximately 145 to 160 million pesos, the facility serves as a hub for municipal musical, theatrical, and performing arts groups, including the Do Re Mi Children's Orchestra and the Zapopan Children's Choir. The center features music and dance studios, a library, a recording studio, and an auditorium.
Jalisco Governor Pablo Lemus Navarro highlighted the project as a successful public policy tool for social reintegration and the recovery of public spaces. Officials noted that the initiative helped transform the Constitución neighborhood, contributing to a significant reduction in local crime rates following its implementation.
