Centro Cultural Helénico hosts La Vendedora de Nubes

The Centro Cultural Helénico, under Mexico's Secretariat of Culture, is hosting a production of ‘La vendedora de nubes’ at the Foro La Gruta. Directed by Mauricio Pimentel and performed by the Colectivo Teatral Mexicano Los Alichanes, the play is based on a story by Elena Poniatowska.

The production follows a young girl attempting to sell a cloud she dreamed of the previous night. Through interactions with various market characters, the story explores themes of imagination, dignity, and the intrinsic value of dreams beyond monetary wealth. The performance features a combination of physical movement, masks, and collective play to blend fantasy with everyday life concerns. The season is scheduled to run on Saturdays and Sundays until November 1, 2026.
