Centro Cultural Sesi Campinas hosts free music and dance events

The Centro Cultural Sesi Campinas Amoreiras is hosting a series of free cultural events, including the first Music Week of Campinas and a contemporary dance performance.

Between August 21 and 29, the Music Week will feature five free shows spanning various genres, such as soul, folk, classical, and traditional Brazilian sounds like maracatu and ciranda. Highlights include the “Groove Brasil” show by Saracutaia, focusing on 1970s and 1980s Brazilian soul, and performances by the Orquestra Bachiana Jovem Sesi-SP and the Camerata Sesi Indaiatuba.

Additionally, the Independente Grupo de Dança Claudia Pereira will present “Peças,” a contemporary dance piece centered on environmental preservation. The performance uses a puzzle metaphor to explore the human relationship with nature and the necessity of individual contributions to planetary balance.
