Centro Cultural Tijuana inaugurates ‘Poética del Objeto’ exhibition

The Centro Cultural Tijuana (CECUT) is inaugurating ‘Poética del Objeto’, an exhibition featuring the work of 23 visual and plastic artists from Baja California. Held in the Marta Palau Room, the showcase explores collage and other artistic practices that reimagine objects and books as central thematic elements.

The exhibition is a collaborative effort between CECUT, Border Collage, and Artitudes: Expresiones Diversas. Participating artists utilize diverse materials, including wood, wire, paper, engraving, embroidery, and sculpture, to demonstrate the versatility of contemporary art. The collection also includes texts by Tijuana writer Mónica Morales Rocha.
