Centro Educacional Terra Santa suffers losses from power outages
Frequent power outages in the Visconde de Itaboraí and Monsenhor Bacelar streets in Petrópolis are causing significant losses for the Centro Educacional Terra Santa and local residents. The institution, which serves approximately 502 children through its school and social projects, has reported the loss of school meals, electrical equipment, and monitoring cameras.
Father Lucas Thadeu da Silva, president of the educational center, stated that internal electrical inspections revealed no issues, attributing the interruptions to faults in the external network maintained by the utility company Enel. Residents have also noted that electrical wiring is running through tree branches without adequate pruning.
In response to the complaints, Enel announced it will dispatch a technician to the area this week to evaluate the circuit serving the institution.
