Centro Integrador Comunitario begins digitalization of medical records

The Centro Integrador Comunitario (CIC) in Bella Vista is implementing a modernization project to digitalize its administrative and medical services. Under the direction of Cristian Luxen, the institution has begun a trial phase to transform over 1,000 paper medical records into a digital format using the DoCo (Documentos Oficiales Corrientes) program.

The initiative focuses on three main pillars: the digitalization of medical histories, the creation of an online appointment system, and the informatization of the pharmacy. The new appointment system will allow residents to request services—such as dentistry and kinesiology—with at least 48 hours' notice.

Additionally, the pharmacy modernization will allow for online monitoring of medication stock, including the Remediar program and donated medicines. The project aims to reduce paper usage, optimize resources, and accelerate administrative procedures for local residents. Future expansions may include other services such as pensions and community programs.
