Mexicali's Centro Integrador del Bienestar marks two-year anniversary

The Centro Integrador del Bienestar (CIB) in Mexicali celebrated its second anniversary, marking a milestone of serving over 27,000 women. The center provides training, education, and tools designed to foster personal and economic autonomy for women in vulnerable situations.

During the anniversary event, various services were offered, including examinations to certify primary and secondary education, registration for high school, and local product exhibitions. Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda emphasized that the center aims to transform lives by empowering women, noting that such progress positively impacts families and entire communities.

Secretary of Welfare Felipe de Jesús Gamboa highlighted the center's ability to consolidate diverse services and educational alternatives in a single location. Following the success in Mexicali, the government of Baja California plans to expand this model to San Quintín and Tijuana, including smaller facilities dedicated to workshops and training.
