Centro Médico Infantil in Cuiabá exceeds 62,000 pediatric services

The Centro Médico Infantil (CMI) in Cuiabá has recorded over 62,000 medical services during the first seven months of 2026. Managed by the Municipal Health Secretariat, the facility serves as a reference point for pediatric care, ranging from routine consultations to emergency services.

Between January and July, the center performed 32,324 medical consultations, 15,526 medication room procedures, 9,959 outpatient follow-ups, and 3,511 dental services. Additionally, the facility conducted 33,463 risk classifications to prioritize clinical urgency. Emergency services included 466 cases in the Pediatric Red Room for severe emergencies, 426 in the Yellow Room, and 275 in the observation room.

Municipal Health Secretary Deisi Bocalon stated that these indicators demonstrate the operational capacity and scope of the unit within the Unified Health System (SUS). The center utilizes a multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, dentists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and nutritionists.
