Centrum Nauki Kopernik launches math exhibition at Baltic Fair in Świnoujście

From 30 July to 2 August 2026, the mobile exhibition "O matmo!" from the Centrum Nauki Kopernik will be featured on the Wybrzeże Władysława IV at the Jarmark Bałtycki (Baltic Fair) in Świnoujście, Poland. The free‑entry installation offers interactive displays that let visitors experiment with mathematical concepts such as the Caesar cipher, asymmetry, and three‑dimensional shapes, targeting children aged 6‑15 while also appealing to adults.

The exhibition is part of the "Science for You" programme, which aims to reduce educational inequality and promote innovative teaching methods. It complements a wider programme at the fair that includes regional food stalls, craft vendors, concerts and a special Lower Silesia tourism zone. Świnoujście’s mayor, Joanna Agatowska, invited residents and tourists to experience the event, describing it as a unique summer attraction for the city.
